i’m a playwright, producer, and performer. (usually in that order)
i create character-driven work heavily influenced by my queer brazilian-canadian experience. it is powerfully boisterous, intimately understated, and highlights the identity-specific complexity of the human experience without focusing on the diasporic existence as "other." i am keen to push the boundaries of theatrical storytelling through highly imaginative, poetic, sensitive, and revealing multidisciplinary work that uses stylistic surreal elements to divorce itself from realism.
